Miranda Lambert on Winning a CMA Award After Blake Shelton Divorce: “I Needed a Bright Spot This Year”
In the wake of her recent divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert finally has something to smile about!
The 31-year-old country star happily accepted her Female Vocalist of the Year award at last night’s CMAs and even referred to the win as a much needed “bright spot” in her otherwise stressful year.

“Man, I really appreciate it,” Miranda said while accepting the honor on Wednesday, Nov. 4. “I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you. I love country music fans.”

Blake — who was also in attendance at last night’s award show — and Miranda announced their divorce after four years of marriage in July. They previously met in 2005 and tied the knot in May 2011.

After last night’s CMAs, the 39-year-old “Sangria” singer — who confirmed he is dating his The Voice costar Gwen Stefani earlier yesterday — took to Twitter to gush about his “awesome night” and all the “great things happening” in his life.
