They may not be costars anymore, but Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni will always be great friends!
The pair, who starred on the hit NBC crime drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 1999-2011, posted photos of a recent dinner date they shared, causing fans to go crazy!
Meloni captioned his picture, "Together again... @Mariska #partners4life," and it makes us hope like we've never hoped before that the actor will return to his role as Detective Elliot Stabler!
Meloni left the series in 2011 to explore different acting opportunities and has since had a guest-starring role on HBO's True Blood and appeared in films like 42, Man of Steel and the upcoming Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Hargitay, meanwhile, is still kicking butt as Detective Olivia Benson and was inspired by her role on the police procedural to found the Joyful Heart Foundation in 2004, an organization that provides support to women who have been sexually abused.
She captioned the below photo: "Look who I found! #togetheragain"
If not on Law & Order: SVU, we hope these two end up reuniting for another project, preferably in the not so distant future!
