Though Jack Nicholson is now known for his womanizing ways, in her new memoir, Anjelica Huston reveals she wasn't always privy to the actor's wandering eye.
"I didn't recognize Jack as a world-class philanderer at the time," Anjelica, 63, writes in an excerpt obtained by 'Vanity Fair' from the second volume of her book "For as prolific as he seems to have been, and as I have heard reported, he was actually quite discreet."

The Oscar-winning actress dated Jack, 77, on and off for nearly 20 years from 1973 - 1989.
In 'Watch Me' — which follows 2013's 'A Story Lately Told' — Anjelica writes she was "very much in love" with Jack and that her perception of him as a "joker" was a "one-dimensional view" of his overall complicated personality.

"Jack is emotional. Life touches him, and moves him. He is a deep and serious person," she wrote of her former flame.
When she finally did realize the 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' actor was, at times, unfaithful in their relationship, she writes: "I didn't know what I could do about that. There's only so much you can do."
Though the couple never tied the knot, she reveals they did discuss the option of marriage, "but neither of us ever seemed to feel the urge at the same moment," she explained.

Anjelica and Jack's long-term relationship ended in 1989 when he revealed he and model Rebecca Broussard were expecting a baby together.
In her memoir, the actress recounts telling him at the time, "There's only room for one of us women in this picture, and I am going to retire from it."
