We miss you, Kelly Clarkson! The music superstar was noticeably absent at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10 but she had a good reason for missing music’s biggest night. Just before the Grammys red carpet began, Kelly, 36, took to Twitter to explain to her many fans why she skipped the 61st annual awards show.

“I’m out touring so couldn’t make #Grammys2019 tonight BUT couldn’t b more appreciative 4 the nomination & couldn’t be more excited 4 everyone there! 2 all the artists nominated & not nominated, win or lose, feel blessed that u get to do what u do 4 a living!” Kelly tweeted.

She later followed up with another tweet to give her friend Alicia Keys, who is hosting tonight’s Grammys, a sweet shoutout. “Oh and good luck @aliciakeys hosting tonight! You’re gonna be amazing. #Grammy2019,” Kelly wrote.

Though Kelly wasn’t present at tonight’s Grammys, lots and lots of your favorite music stars were in attendance! Dolly Parton, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Linda Perry (just to name a few!) all walked the red carpet at the annual awards show and those music icons were also joined by celebs including Jada Pinkett Smith, Michelle Obama, Sara Gilbert, Eve, Ryan Seacrest, Giuliana Rancic and more!

The night’s first award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance went to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for their performance of “Shallow” from the Oscar-nominated movie A Star Is Born. Though Bradley wasn’t present at the Grammys — he was accepting awards at the BAFTAs in London! — Gaga took the stage to thank their fans for their latest honor.

“Thank you so much … I wish Bradley was here with me right now, he’s at the BAFTAs over in the UK. I know he wants to be here … Bradley, I loved singing this song with you,” Gaga said onstage while accepting their award. Congrats, girl!
