Tim McGraw Collapses on Stage While Performing With Wife Faith Hill in Ireland
Fans are wondering what happened to Tim McGraw after the country singer collapsed on stage while performing with his wife Faith Hill in Ireland. Despite the scary moment, Faith reassured fans that her husband is doing fine.
“He’s been super dehydrated,” she told the audience shortly after Tim was seen dropping to his knees. “I apologize, but I made the decision that he cannot come back out onstage.” The 50-year-old had just finished singing his song “Humble & Kind” when he had to take a seat.
The crowd continued to show their support for the veteran musician, chanting, “We love Tim” before the lights were ultimately turned on and they were ushered out. In a statement to Rolling Stone magazine, his rep confirmed Faith’s message. “Tim McGraw was suffering from dehydration in Dublin this evening at the C2C show. He was attended to by local medical staff on-site and will be fine,” his rep said. “He and Faith thank everyone for their love and support and look forward to seeing their Irish fans again soon.”
Just before taking the stage, Tim shared his excitement of performing in Ireland with his wife, tweeting, “Glasgow you rock!!! Next up, Dublin.” The couple is currently on their Soul2Soul World Tour, and this was the last leg of their European tour. They are expected to open up in the States on May 31st in Richmond, VA.
“There have been shows we weren’t quite on the same page,” Tim told Billboard last year of touring with the mother of his three daughters. “But it all goes away when we come up through those risers and look at each other and start singing. The band kicks up and we look at each other and give that sort of wry smile. We’re very fortunate.” We’re wishing Tim a speedy recovery!
