Whoops! Tori Spelling is feeling the heat from the social media community after promoting muffins by Little Bites Snacks on her Instagram as a healthy option for her kids, and let’s just say that not many folks agree at all.

The 45-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 27, to share photos of three of her children enjoying some muffins. “This mom of 5 finds snack time a balancing act between pleasing my kiddos and feeling good as a parent about what I’m feeding them,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum captioned the pictures. “Thank you @littlebitessnacks for being yummy and kiddo approved. This mama bear is grateful that #lovelittlebites has no high fructose or corn syrup and is made with real ingredients like strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.”

The actress added, “They are easy and mess free for little hands and great on the go! … #momwin.”

And boy, did the negative responses arrive in a hurry. “It’s disgusting that she feeds her children these bags of chemicals just for some money … And then gets mad when people call her kids fat,” one user stated. Another said, “I hate to break it to you but these are trash you’re feeding your kids. The first ingredient listed is sugar!!” And one person commented, “Seeing the obesity epidemic amongst kids these days you all should be ashamed.”

But while many were quite upset, Tori did have some folks come to her defense. “Leave her kids alone. This is clearly an ad and she needs to provide for her children however she can,” a supporter said, with another adding, “Leave these beautiful kids alone..and quit playing the perfect game.”

The author shares five kids with her husband Dean McDermott —  Liam, 12, Stella, 10, Hattie, 7, Finn, 6, and Beau, 2. And this isn’t the first time Tori and Dean’s kids have become the focus on social media. Recently the Canadian-American actor, 52, bashed folks after they criticized his children’s weight.

“I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children,” he said on the Instagram post. “Body-shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!! For your information, we went from a long day at school to the movie. And I don’t know any child that is NOT disheveled at the end of the day. Not to mention that just before this picture was taken, they were wrestling and running around with all the other kids that were at the movie.” He added, “You should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing such horrible judgment on innocent beautiful children.”

Tori nor Dean have commented yet on #muffingate.
