The ‘Shark Tank’ Stars Are Rolling in Dough! Find Out the Net Worth of Everyone on the Show
Calling all Shark Tank superfans! If you watch the entertaining stars as they make deals after deals each week in the tank, you’ll definitely be blown away by the net worths of the money sharks like Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Daymond John and Lori Greiner.
Each shark has their own story of success. Robert, for one, first started to make money for himself when he held positions in the film and retail industries. He was also a debt collector and a newspaper deliveryman before he ended up selling his internet security startup for millions.
Kevin’s story is a little different. When he was a young man, he took a job at an ice cream parlor to be closer to the girl he liked. “I was very excited about it, it was my first job,” he once shared with CNBC’s Make It. “The girl I was interested in worked at the shoe store right across the mall.”
Although Kevin was ready to do whatever it took to keep his job, he remembers being fired from the store just two days after he began working there. “What happens when you’re sampling ice cream — you’re chewing gum, you take it out, you throw it on the floor,” he said.
Kevin knew that he had to scrape the gum in order to keep his job but, once he saw his crush looking at him from across the mall, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
“I saw her looking at me, and I thought, If she sees me on my knees scraping gum, I’m screwed,” the business mogul recalled. So, instead of doing what he was asked, Kevin took a stand. “I was hired as a scooper, not a scraper,” he remembered telling his boss.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the right thing to say. The TV personality’s boss fired him right then and there, and once Kevin got home, he had to explain everything to his mom. “She said, ‘That was a bad mistake,'” he said of her reaction.
However, Kevin did learn a very important lesson from working at the ice cream store: “There are two types of people in the world: those that own the store and those that scrape the s—t off the floor, and you have to decide which one you are.”
