Rita Wilson Receives Star on Walk of Fame As Tom Hanks Gleams

What a pair! Rita Wilson received quite the honor recently, as she was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her husband, Tom Hanks, was there to show his support through it all.

On Friday, March 29, the 62-year-old was honored, all while Tom, also 62, looked quite proud upon seeing Rita receive her star. The actor even shared a lovely speech about his wife’s career and killer “instincts” when it comes to not only acting, but to singing as well. “Rita Wilson has pitch-perfect taste,” the Forrest Gump star said, as Rita quickly followed up with, “Well, I chose you.”

Julia Roberts was also on hand to support her pal. “I think, for me, it’s always about having family and friends, and you can see by the people that are here, I have all my family and my friends, so having Julia and of course, my husband Tom, whose star is just over there, it’s a fantasy come true,” Rita gushed to ET. “It’s unbelievable. I walked on this street and read these names, so for me to have my name here is really extraordinary.”
