It’s easy to say that Princess Diana had jokes! Though her life was cut short, the Princess of Wales left a legacy behind that will never be forgotten. A card that recently resurfaced after being put up for sale at Julien’s Auctions has reminded us how witty and comical Diana truly was.

The cover of the R-rated birthday card features a cartoon illustration of Sleeping Beauty laying down with her eyes closed in her bed inside of a castle. The saying reads, “A little prick in the hand sent Sleeping Beauty to sleep.” When flipped open, the card says, “Only the big ones are worth staying awake for!”

Under the laugh-worthy punchline, Diana, who was 36 at the time of her death, wrote a message addressed to her accountant, Tony. “A belated birthday for the 5th!” it says in the princess’ script penmanship. The whimsical card ended simply as she signed it: “From, Diana.”

A spokesperson for Julien’s Auctions told The Huffington Post that the card is expected to sell for around $800 to $1,200, which is mind-boggling considering Diana most likely bought it for a mere few dollars at most.

The auction — which is being held on Nov. 16 and Nov. 17 — is apparently selling the card as part of the Icons & Idols: Hollywood sale, for a client who obtained it from Diana’s accountant himself.

One of the world’s favorite things about the beloved Dianna was that she would always defy the conventional norms expected of a princess. Following her tragic death in 1997, Prince Harry and Prince William told ITV that their mother always had a “fun” way of parenting.

The royal brothers opened up about what it was like to have Diana as a mother, and they gushed that she “was a total kid through and through.” They also revealed that Diana “was one of the naughtiest parents. She would come and watch us play football and, you know, smuggle sweets into our socks.” Harry also added that “one of her mottos” was “‘you can be as naughty as you want, just don’t get caught.'” Boy, do we miss Princess Diana!
