Princess Charlotte Looks Just Like Princess Diana’s Niece Kitty Spencer In Newly-Posted Throwback Photo — See The Pic!
Many royal fans think adorable Princess Charlotte perfectly resembles her famous great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and even her dad, Prince William. But after Princess Diana’s niece Lady Kitty Spencer recently shared a sweet throwback photo of herself as a child, people quickly narrowed in on the uncanny likeness between her and the royal toddler.
“First day of school,” the 27-year-old captioned the vintage black and white pic on Instagram. The comparison between Kitty and three-year-old Charlotte became even more apparent once eagle-eyed royal fans pointed out that Kitty’s childhood hairdo is strikingly similar to the hairstyle Charlotte sported for her first day of preschool.
The best part? A myriad of comments came flooding in by many fans who actually mistook the old photo to be a current snapshot of the three-year-old princess — and we don’t blame them! Take a look at the throwback photo posted by Kitty below!
Quite the royal resemblance, don’t you think?! One Instagram user commented, “Don’t Kitty and Princess Charlotte look similar?! Charlotte is going to be [beautiful] when she grows up!” Many of the nearly 200 comments on the post also noted how Charlotte must have “Spencer genes,” and we totally see why they think that. “Princess Charlotte has the Spencer good-looking genes like her father and grandmother Princess Diana,” another user wrote.
In October, fans similarly went crazy when a photo of Charlotte from Princess Eugenie‘s royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank went viral. The snapshot captured at the special event was compared to a photo taken of Charlotte’s dad, William, when he was a child. In the two images, both Charlotte and a young William share the same deep-set blue eyes, similarly-shaped noses, and thinly-curved eyebrows. The most alluring part of, though, is their shared “Diana smirk” — the smile that the late People’s Princess was known for.
As you can tell, this isn’t the first time that Charlotte has been compared to a royal family member and it probably won’t be the last. As the royal children grow older, fans look forward to more and more pictures every year. Although Charlotte and her older brother, Prince George, 5, went back to school in September, their parents Kate Middleton, 36, and William, also 36, didn’t share any new “first-day” photos of the tots.
According to People, William and Kate don’t necessarily want to share a lot of photos of their kiddos because they have always tried to make school as private as possible for Charlotte and George. They apparently want their children growing up in as pressure-free of an atmosphere as they can — and because of that, school photos will only be released on special occasions. It looks like we’re going to have to take what we can get!
