Yep, Prince William isn’t like a regular dad, he’s a cool dad! The 35-year-old royal visited the famous UK Triumph Motorcycle headquarters in central England on Tuesday, Feb. 20 — and in the pics of William during the outing, he couldn’t hide his excitement at getting an up-close look at the motorcycles on display.

After touring the headquarters, the soon-to-be father-of-three took a spin on the Triumph Tiger 1200 and looked right at home despite his formal royal attire including slacks and suede shoes. He then rode an Aston Martin around a high-speed track and experienced the Wet Handling Circuit.

The photos of William on his rides look awesome, but we hope his wife, Kate Middleton, wasn’t watching! Seeing your partner on a motorbike or on a high-speed track is a nailbiting experience, and pregnant Kate does not need that kind of stress right now. During William’s outing, Kensington Palace also shared a picture of a commemorative fuel tank gifted to His Royal Highness to mark his visit to the UK Triumph headquarters.

During a previous interview, Triple World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea told Hello! Magazine that he had a chance to chat motorbikes with the prince following his MBE ceremony at Buckingham Palace. “I know he’s a bit of a motorcycle fan himself,” Rea said. “We talked about his bikes and the fact that he has put [his passion for riding] on the back-burner a little bit because of his children now.”
