When it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding, it seems the couple wants to have a say in every last thing! According to Us Weekly, the royal couple wants to do everything "their way" when it comes to their May 19 nuptials.
"With the wedding, they both want to do things their way," a source close to the couple told the news outlet. "While they will always be mindful of traditions, the day is ultimately about them and what they want to do."
Meghan has been known for trying to break royal protocol in the past. She was recently spotted wearing a messy bun during a royal public outing! Fans were also worried when Meghan donned a $75,000 risque dress during her engagement photos, but it turned out that time around she didn't break the rules.
When it comes to her special day, though, Meghan allegedly wants to be very hands-on. But many are likely curious why Elizabeth is letting all this happen. "It’s her age," Ingrid Seward, author of My Husband & I, which is a new biography of Elizabeth and Prince Philip, told People. "She is easier-going. It’s refreshing that [the royal family] is prepared to bend a bit."
A source recently told In Touch that Meghan is even putting her own American spin on the wedding. "Meghan is adding some American touches [to the reception], like crab cake appetizers," they shared. And that's not all! She's even considering having food trucks at the special event. How cool?! "Meghan’s worried the royals will think it’s tacky," the insider added.
When it comes to her hair, a royal family stylist predicts that she may do something unique with her wedding tresses. "I think she's going to bring in her own edge and own style, but at the same time she's still marrying into the royal family and they have their ways and their looks, so I would imagine that Meghan's hair will go up," Sean Donaldson of Sean Donaldson Hair shared. "I can't imagine her doing half up half down because I think she's going to want it distinguished between her and Kate, since this is the next brother, son of Princess Diana — and this will be the next big royal family since Kate and William's." We can't wait for the big day!
