Remember when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were just dating? Neither do we! It feels like a lifetime ago since the two were simply boyfriend and girlfriend and doing all they could to keep their relationship private. But now, it’s been revealed that Meghan was allegedly worried that she seemed too “eager” when she agreed to meet with Harry the day after their first date.

British biographer Andrew Morton writes in his new book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, that after their initial blind meeting in 2016, they were “mesmerized” by one another. “Harry enthralled by her beauty, sophistication, and perceptiveness,” he wrote, adding that “she understood him as a man, not a title… As he subsequently confessed, he realized that he would have to up his game.”

And although they were reportedly “buzzing” after the encounter, Meg, 36, allegedly was concerned. “As she relived that fateful evening in her mind, she perhaps wondered if she had been too eager to accept his invitation to meet again the following day,” he wrote.

Obviously, Harry didn’t think anything of it, because after dating for a few months (after date number two, he invited her to Botswana, by the way), the duo publicly announced their engagement in November 2017. And of course, nobody will ever forget their extravagant royal wedding on May 19

As Harry previously gushed in their first official interview together last year, he and Meghan knew they were soulmates from the very beginning. He shared at the time, “I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly… All the stars were aligned — everything was just perfect. It was this beautiful woman just sort of literally tripped and fell into my life — I fell into her life.” Does it get any more perfect than that?
