Prince Harry Meets Donald Trump — Even After the U.S. President Calls Meghan Markle ‘Nasty’
Who would have thought?! Prince Harry and Donald Trump actually got along when they attended Queen Elizabeth‘s palace exhibit at Buckingham Palace on Monday, June 3. Harry seemed to have put any differences he may have with the U.S. president aside after Donald called his wife Meghan Markle “nasty.”
“I didn’t know that she was nasty,” Donald purportedly said about the Duchess of Sussex just hours before he arrived in the U.K. Apparently, before the American politician left America he did a recorded interview with The Sun about the upcoming England trip and, when he learned that Meghan had called him “misogynistic” and “divisive” in 2016, he fired back at the former Suits actress.
However, shortly after The Sun posted their interview with the U.S. politician online, Donald took to Twitter to say he never spoke badly about her.
“I never called Meghan Markle ‘nasty,'” he tweeted on Sunday, June 2. “Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold!” Even though Meghan might not be Donald’s biggest fan, Harry still went out to support Queen Elizabeth at the lovely palace exhibit. Unfortunately, he attended the event solo because Meghan is still on maternity leave after giving birth to their son, Archie, on May 6.
During their time together, Harry didn’t make a lot of chit-chat with the American president. As soon as they arrived in Buckingham Palace’s Picture Gallery with Donald’s daughter Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband, the Duke of Sussex went to talk to Earl Peel, the Lord Chamberlain, about the fabulous exhibit.
Even though Donald and wife Melania Trump are only scheduled to stay in the U.K. for three days, we hope that’ll be enough time for him and Meghan to put their differences aside! Plus, it was big of Harry to put the drama aside and turn up for his grandmother.
