Don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Megyn Kelly hasn’t exactly been on your TV sets lately. And that’s mainly because NBC recently fired Megyn after she, for some reason, decided to say that she didn’t see what the issue was with people donning “blackface” for Halloween. And yep, that was enough for NBC to say goodbye to Megyn who was just in the first year of her three-year, $69 million contract. And it’s pretty safe to say that now NBC wants nothing to do with the 47-year-old TV star.

“They erased her, just like that,” an insider recently told In Touch in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “They’re distancing themselves from her a much as they can.”

So what exactly happens to Megyn and her career now? Well a representative for Megyn denies that her career is in crises mode, even though another source says Megyn even reached out to CNN for a job. That same source does include a little bit of light at the end of the dark tunnel Megyn may be in currently. The source told In Touch, “If she can’t get a syndicated show à la Bill O’Reilly, I can see her doing a podcast. It’ll be a blow to her ego, but news is her life.”

As far NBC and Today? Well, they are actually doing better since Megyn bit the dust as ratings for the third hour of their show were up five percent just one week after Megyn left. So it is obvious that Today isn’t sweating their decision at all. And Megyn always seemed like an awkward fit on the show, whereas of now the show is running a lot better.

But when it comes down to it, TV loves drama and they feed off it, so don’t be surprised at all if you happen to see Megyn gracing your TV sets again in the near future. To be continued…
