Ever since Meghan Markle‘s sister Samantha Markle started coming out with a new batch of words against the Duchess of Sussex every week it seems, she’s been a major headache for the royal family.
According to The Sunday Times, Samantha, 53, has been put on the “fixated persons list” by the police royalty and specialist protection unit. In other words she’s now reportedly being flagged as a “reputational risk” that she poses to the royal family.
A Scotland Yard source tells the outlet, “You can’t protect someone like the Duchess of Sussex without knowing the background of her family. But someone like Samantha presents a risk rather than a threat. She is not committing criminal offenses, but she is causing concerns for the royal family.” The source adds, “There is big potential for some major embarrassment for the royals. Samantha could make a scene and create headlines with her actions — and let’s face it she’s kind of already done that.”
And word has already gotten back to Samantha, as she took it to Twitter to completely deny the report, tweeting, “This is ridiculous as I’m in an electric wheelchair and I live on a different continent LOL and advocating for doing the right this by our dad is hardly fixations.” Meghan’s sister goes on to call it “fake news,” and adds, “Stop your lying nonsense or be sued.”
The Scotland Yard’s Fixated Threat Assessment Centre focuses on identifying risked posed by “lone individuals.” The police source says, “much of the intelligence relating to Samantha’s pattern of unwanted and persistent behavior would have been informed by the duchess herself during briefings with her protection officers. We do not confirm the identity of any person who may or may not be of interest to the police unless that person has been charged”
We have a feeling this is definitely not the last we will hear from Samantha.
