You Probably Won’t Ever See Meghan Markle Wearing One Of Her Friend Victoria Beckham’s Designer Dresses — Here’s Why!

Even before becoming British royalty, Meghan Markle was known to hit the streets wearing outfits that were totally jaw-droppingly chic. And if you think her wardrobe hasn’t gotten even better since tying the knot with Prince Harry this past May, think again!

Despite the fact that royal expert Katie Nicholl recently told Entertainment Tonight that Meghan’s wardrobe could cost upwards of almost a million US dollars, there’s one well-known designer brand that Meg likely won’t ever wear dresses from — but don’t worry, the Duchess has her reasons.

“Now what I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me,” Meghan admitted to Glamour UK last year. “For example, I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.” Well, that’s definitely a valid explanation!

Meghan, 37, also explained that weather totally influences her style. “I think it’s really changed because my sensibility had always been relaxed California girl style, and on any given day I was in jeans, cut-offs, and flip-flops,” Meghan dished. “The fashion on Suits is gorgeous, so it also became my education of designers and really knowing what fits my body well.”

We’re not sure if Meghan has expressed this to Victoria, 44, herself, but we wouldn’t be surprised considering the two reportedly became close friends shortly after Meghan sold her Toronto home and relocated to the UK in November 2017. In fact, a source told Vanity Fair in February that Meghan looks up to the Spice Girls alum for fashion advice. “Meghan really likes Victoria’s style and was keen to pick her brains about pulling together a working wardrobe,” they dished.

The Duchess has actually been spotted wearing other articles of clothing designed by Victoria — such as the cashmere sweater Meghan wore in her glam engagement photos with Prince Harry — so hopefully the fashion mogul doesn’t take the news about her dress designs not working for Meghan too personally!
