Meghan Markle Reportedly Admitted to a Fan That She Misses Acting After Becoming a Royal
After she announced her royal engagement to Prince Harry last year, Meghan Markle gave up her Hollywood career to instead focus on her new life as a member of the British monarchy. But during her two-day visit to Ireland earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly told a fan that she actually misses acting and working on her hit TV show Suits!
According to the Daily Mail, an Irish woman named Fiona Moore chatted with Meghan after she and Harry toured Dublin’s Irish Emigration Museum and told the royal, “I’m a fan of Suits and I said to her that I miss it and she said, ‘So do I.'”

Moore added, “She seemed very relaxed and was joking and laughing.” Another royal fan named Caroline Bates told the outlet, “Meghan really took her time and looked us in the eye, she was really nice. She’s a breath of fresh air in the royal family.” A third person in the crowd, a woman named Heather Nicell, told the Daily Mail, “Meghan is a great role model for women, she is very likable and relatable.”
In her first official interview with Harry following their engagement announcement in November 2017, Meghan revealed that she would be giving up her acting career but was happy to leave her Suits days behind her.
“I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter, right? And also, keep in mind — I’ve been working on my show for seven years. So we were very, very fortunate to have that sort of longevity on a series, and for me, once we hit the 100 episode marker, I thought, ‘You know what? I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there and now it’s time to work as a team with [Harry],'” she said at the time. Meghan’s final Suits episode subsequently aired in April 2018.
Immediately after Meghan’s confession, many people began comparing her to late actress Grace Kelly. The Rear Window star famously gave up her successful acting career when she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956, and she served as the Princess of Monaco until her death in 1982.
