She’s going back to her old roots! Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she was an actress on the hit USA show Suits. And now, three months after becoming the Duchess of Sussex, she’s made a cameo in a new film released by Kensington Palace.
The video, which is narrated by Meghan, shows the brunette beauty sweetly helping a group of women who suffered after the Grenfell Tower tragedy in London. The 37-year-old has worked to help these women keep their community kitchen alive by coming up with a 50-recipe cookbook for them called Together: Our Community Cookbook (out this week).

“Together is a cookbook but it’s also the story of a west London Community who gathered together in a kitchen and discovered the healing power of sharing food,” Meghan — who is “passionate about food and cooking as a way of strengthening communities” — said in the clip.
The book additionally features a foreword written by Meghan, in which she writes that the kitchen “is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry, and cook together.”
It’s so nice to see Meghan supporting a great cause — and to see her back on the small screen! During her first official interview with Harry after they announced their engagement in November, the brunette beauty opened up about how she felt about giving up her acting career for royalty.
“What’s been really exciting, as we talk about this as the transition out of my career… is that the causes that have been very important to me, I can focus even more energy on,” Meghan said when she and her royal husband previously sat down with the BBC. “You realize that as you have access, or a voice that people are willing to listen to, [it comes with] a lot of responsibility, which I take seriously.”
She added at the time, “Keep in mind I’ve been working on my show for seven years, so we’re very, very fortunate to have that kind of longevity on a series, and once we hit the 100th episode mark [in August], I felt, ‘I’ve ticked this box.’ And I feel really proud of the work we’ve done there, and now it’s time to work as a team with [Harry].”
