Like Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Allegedly Can’t Have a Baby Shower If She Gets Pregnant

Since marrying Prince Harry in May, Meghan Markle has been living a very lavish lifestyle. Even though she’s had to sacrifice a lot to become a royal — like abiding by royal protocol and deleting her personal social media accounts — Meghan will probably have to give up one other big thing in her future. 

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter told The Sun that Meghan will not be allowed to have an expensive baby shower once she becomes pregnant. “A lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate. There’s nothing [Harry and Meghan] can’t go out and buy themselves,” she explained.

Baby showers are more popular in the US than in the UK and as an American, this event might be a bit hard for Meghan to give up. Now that she’s wealthy and married to a Prince, it would reportedly be more humble for her to accept gifts from her family and friends once the baby is born. 

Meghan will most likely follow in her sister-in-law Kate Middleton‘s footsteps and not throw a huge event, but now that Meghan is married to Harry, they can’t wait to start having kids ASAP!  

“Meghan can’t wait to have kids herself and jokes that being a hands-on aunt is great practice for when she and Harry have their own brood,” a source recently told Life & Style. “Meghan and Harry talk about having babies all the time and think it’ll be so much fun for all the kids to hang out together.”

Hopefully the royal couple will start welcoming children very soon because they are already amazing babysitters for Kate and Prince William‘s children. Even Meghan’s dad, Thomas Markle, has said that his daughter is ready to have kids. 

“When she met Harry she spoke about how much she loved him and so there has to be a child making somewhere soon. I don’t think there is a stork in the air yet but I think it will happen sooner or later,” he previously said in an interview with Good Morning Britian.
