Well wishes are needed. Marie Osmond is asking her fans to keep her new granddaughter on their minds, as she has revealed the baby is currently not doing so great.

The 59-year-old took to Twitter on Thursday, May 23, to inform everyone that her daughter Brianna Blosil Schwep, 21, and her husband Dave Schwep, 42, had given birth to a baby girl. Unfortunately, the performer also revealed that the little one had to be taken to the NICU.

“Asking for prayers for my precious granddaughter born this evening 6lbs 10 ounces,” the singer tweeted. “So thankful she was able to be taken to children’s ICU in one of our amazing @CMNHospitals #gratitude that she is in their care!” Take a look at the tweet below.

Fans were quick to send their good vibes, including music host Larry Flick, who said, “Prayers and the best wishes. It’s a scary time, but all will be fine. Try to think of this as the beginning of a life story filled with great victories.” Another person added, “Sending prayers, love, hugs to you, your precious new granddaughter, mom and dad, and your entire family right now. So glad this baby girl is receiving such wonderful care.”

Marie has not revealed why her granddaughter was taken to the NICU, but it seems like the baby did arrive 10 days late. Brianna is one of eight kids that The Key Is Love author has. She also has son Stephen James with her first husband Stephen Craig. She shares children Rachael and Matthew with her second husband, Brian Bosil, who she married following a divorce.

Marie and Bosil then welcomed five more kids including Briana — all adopted — Jessica, Michael, Brandon, and Abigail. The pair split in 2007, and the “Paper Roses” singer rewed her first husband, Stephen, in 2011.

That is one large family, but that just means that Briana and Dave are getting tons of love and support. We wish them nothing but the best moving forward.
