Madonna Has Adopted Twins From Malawi — See the First Photo of Her New Daughters!

Madonna just expanded her family by two!

The 58-year-old singer has adopted twins from Malawi. The new mom-of-six announced the exciting news by sharing the first photo of her daughters via Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family," Madonna captioned a sweet snapshot of herself with her girls. "I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time."

"Thank you also to my friends, family, and my very large team for all your support and love!" she wrote.

"You are a model human being! We should all aspire to have even a fraction of your grace, courage, fearlessness, and boundless giving and love," one of Madonna's 8.7 million followers commented on the pic. "May God bless you and the precious new additions to your already beautiful family. With love and deep respect and admiration."

Though Madonna did not confirm her daughters' names in her latest Instagram post, she previously shared a pic of the twins with her oldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, and called the girls Stella and Esther in the image's caption.

"Three beauties! [Lourdes] spends time with twins Stella and Esther at Home of Hope Orphanage," the star wrote alongside the pic. Madonna and her four older children — Lourdes, Rocco Ritchie, David Ritchie, and Mercy Jamestraveled to Malawi in July 2016 with her philanthropic organization Raising Malawi.

The "Like a Prayer" singer welcomed her 20-year-old daughter Lourdes (aka "Lola") in October 1996 with her ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon. She then had son Rocco, 16, and adopted son David, 11, from Malawi with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, whom she was married to from 2000 until 2008. Madonna adopted daughter Mercy, also 11, from Malawi in June 2009.

Rumors first swirled in late January that Madonna was adopting two more children from Africa when a government spokesperson revealed she had filed official paperwork to become the girls' legal guardian.
