As if Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie‘s regal nuptials aren’t exciting enough, another royal wedding is now officially in the works! Lady Gabriella Windsor announced her engagement to Thomas Kingston in a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
“Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr. Thomas Kingston. The engagement took place in August,” the message began. According to People, Thomas popped the question while the pair were visiting Sark, one of the Channel Islands just off the coast of France, last month and Lady Gabriella, 37, and Thomas will tie the knot in spring 2019.
Lady Gabriella is the only daughter of Prince Michael of Kent — who is Queen Elizabeth‘s cousin — and his wife, Princess Michael of Kent. Prince Michael and Princess Michael (born Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz) married in 1978 and reside at London’s Kensington Palace. They are also parents to a 39-year-old son named Lord Frederick Windsor.
“Lady Gabriella (known as ‘Ella’) is a Senior Director at Branding Latin America, a brand-positioning platform that specializes in the region. She is also a writer and contributes to The London Magazine. Mr. Kingston works in frontier market investment and is a Director of Devonport Capital,” the Buckingham Palace statement explained.
The news of Lady Gabriella’s wedding comes less than one month before Prince Andrew and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson‘s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, is set to tie the knot with Jack Brooksbank. Eugenie and Jack’s royal wedding will take place at Windsor Castle on Friday, Oct. 12.
And, of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also exchanged vows at Windsor Castle a few months ago on Saturday, May 19 in the most talked about royal wedding since Kate Middleton and Prince William married back in April 2011!
