Congratulations are in order for Kristin Davis — she has reportedly adopted a second child! According to E! News, via journalist Marc Malkin, the 53-year-old actress has added a baby boy to her family.

Marc took to Facebook on Saturday, May 5 to reveal the exciting news. “I can exclusively reveal that the Sex and the City star has adopted a baby boy. And now she’s blessed times two! Congrats!” he wrote. Kristin — who is best known for playing Charlotte York on all six seasons of Sex and the City — is already a mom to a seven-year-old daughter, Gemma Rose Davis, whom she adopted in 2011.

“This is something I have wanted for a very long time,” Kristin said in a statement after adopting daughter Gemma. “Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.”

Kristin’s decision to adopt a second child is life imitating art as her SATC character, Charlotte, also adopted. In the finale episode of the series, she and her husband, Harry Goldenblatt, were shown with a baby girl named Lily that they had adopted from China. The, in the first Sex and the City movie — which hit theaters in 2008 — Charlotte and Harry welcomed a second daughter, whom Charlotte gave birth to, named Rose.

Of course, Kristin is far from the only celebrity to turn to adoption to complete her family. Other stars who have adopted children include Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, and Mia Farrow, just to name a few! Congrats again to Kristin on the adoption of her baby boy — we’re so excited for her and her daughter, Gemma!
