She’s not just a regular mom — she’s a cool mom! Kelly Clarkson hit the red carpet at the 2017 American Music Awards with her stepdaughter, Savannah, 16, and three-year-old daughter, River, whom she shares with husband Brandon Blackstock. The “Love So Soft” singer, 35, opened up about her adorable dates before opening the show alongside Pink.

“It’s a girls’ night,” Kelly — who also shares 19-month-old son Remington and stepson Seth, 10, with Brandon, 40 — told E! News on the carpet. “They look beautiful. They’re color-coordinated…They’re beautiful, and they love this kind of stuff — more than their mom!”

During her chat with the outlet, the American Idol alum (who is joining The Voice as a coach on the talent competition’s upcoming Season 14) also explained how she balances her busy career with her duties as a parent. “Any working mom’s struggle — any working parent’s struggle — is to balance it all. We do our best,” she said, before quipping: “They’ll probably end up in therapy at some point.”

Before she had children of her own, Kelly embraced her role as a stepmother to Savannah and Seth, from Brandon’s first marriage to ex-wife Melissa Ashworth. Back in 2013, the Grammy winner told Ryan Seacrest how she was adjusting to living with kids prior to tying the knot with her music manager hubby.

“We all live together and everything. It’s so different, but it’s perfect. They’re awesome, and I actually really dig the mom thing. I’m quick to go, ‘I told you not to touch that!’” she told the radio host with a laugh. “We all work really well together, but I’m totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom. I’m probably that mom.”
