Hollywood hasn’t changed him at all! It’s a well-known fact that Keanu Reeves is one of the nicest guys out there, and he proved that yet again when he assisted some fliers after their plane had to make an emergency landing.

The John Wick actor was recently on a commercial flight from San Francisco to Southern California when the plane had to change paths and instead make a pitstop in Bakersfield, California. But not to worry, because Keanu was ready to take action.

“So I got on a plane w/ Keanu … He was very pleasant,” freelance cartoonist Brian Rea shared on his Instagram about the experience. “Took photos, talked about latest project w/ 2 very enthusiastic airline employees. We boarded — He sat 2 rows up. I fell asleep. Then all of a sudden … Our plane w/ Keanu was diverted to Bakersfield. They just announced we may be taking … a bus.”

And this is the moment that the Speed star began trying to clear up the chaos by asking questions and even giving passengers some other options. What a guy! Keanu also had some time to chat about his upcoming projects. Rea revealed that the Bill & Ted costar eventually decided to lead a group of folks on a two-hour van ride to Los Angeles, where he played country music for everyone. “There’s been a lot of attention about a recent story I posted about an ‘adventure’ on a minibus with one of the great humanitarians (and fav actors) of our time,” Rea added. “I don’t have anything to add other than that all the passengers were incredibly kind and lovely people, including the folks who took care of us in Bakersfield, CA.”

And what’s the best way to put a bow on this incredible and unexpected road trip? By stopping at a fast food restaurant, and that’s exactly what the actor and his new group of friends did. “It’s been a long day for all of us,” Rea captioned the shot of Keanu heading into a Carl’s Jr. We think it’s pretty safe to say that this was quite the memorable celebrity encounter for all those passengers!
