Winona Ryder Reveals She “Actually Got Married” to Co-Star Keanu Reeves While Filming ‘Dracula’

Are congratulations in order for Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves?! While promoting their new film Destination Wedding, the 46-year-old actress revealed that she and Keanu, 53, “actually got married” back in 1992 while shooting the movie Dracula. 

“We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to God, I think we’re married in real life,” Winona began before explaining that the movie’s director, Francis Ford Coppola, “used a real Romanian priest” to conduct her character Mina Harker’s wedding to Keanu’s character, Jonathan Harker.

“We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married,” she told Keanu during their sit-down with Entertainment Weekly to which he replied, “We said yes?”

“Don’t you remember that? It was on Valentine’s Day,” Winona continued to which Keanu said, “Oh my gosh, we’re married.” If the two really did tie the knot, they’d be celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary this year, which would make quite the successful Hollywood marriage! 

Dracula was actually the first of four movies Winona and Keanu have starred in together. In 2006, the two reunited for the drama/mystery A Scanner Darkly and, just three years later, they co-starred in 2009’s drama/romance The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Their newest flick, Destination Wedding, is set to hit theaters on Aug. 31.

Though Keanu and Winona have each never been married, both actors have been linked to several stars over the years. Winona was famously engaged to Johnny Depp in the early 1990s and had since reportedly been in relationships with Matt Damon, Val Kilmer, and Jimmy Fallon. Keanu has allegedly dated Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Sandra, Bullock, and Cameron Diaz. He sadly lost his partner, Jennifer Syme, shortly after the actress gave birth to their stillborn daughter, Ava Archer Syme-Reeves, in 1999.
