Kate Winslet’s Fondest ‘Titanic’ Memory Is Her Friendship With Leonardo DiCaprio
Their friendship will go on! Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were both breakout stars in the 1997 film Titanic and now, nearly 20 years since its release, Kate is taking a look back at her fondest memories from filming what would become a timeless classic — and part of her best memory involves her co-star.

“I remember so much of it like it was yesterday,” Kate said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, People, and InStyle at the Toronto International Film Festival. “I think the most special thing, the best memory I have, really was the cast and the lovely crew. For me that’s one of the best things about being in this business is getting to work with incredible technicians who are always great, committed, professional, fun people to spend time with and to go to work with, and we really had that on Titanic. And, of course, I walked away with one of the greatest friendships of my life in my back pocket, which is Leo.”
“We know each other in a very unique way, I think, because of the experience we both had on that film and having to take care of one another,” she said.
It seems like Kate and Leo, 42, really do cherish their friendship, and so do their fans! They famously reunited on the red carpet at the 2016 Oscars and it was the first time the duo had been seen together since they co-starred in the 2008 film Revolutionary Road. Back in June, the
41-year-old said she is definitely up to working with Leo again, it’s just a matter of clearing their schedules.
“At the moment, no, there’s nothing that Leo and I have planned,” Kate told E! News. “As always I would love to work with him again one day. But who knows? It might not happen until we’re 70.”
