From Justin Theroux to Andy Cohen, Sex and the City has had its fair share of unexpected cameos over the years, but perhaps the most confusing of all is Jon Bon Jovi. That’s right, for those of you who don’t remember, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer guest-starred on an episode SATC back in Season 2 called “The Games People Play.”

Playing Carrie Bradshaw’s love interest de jour, Bon Jovi’s character was a seemingly nice guy named Seth that Carrie met in her newly minted therapist’s office, of all places! The pair eventually went out to dinner and for a moment, audiences were convinced that maybe Carrie had met a decent man. Fast forward five minutes.

Seth and Carrie end up back at her apartment where they decided to play Twister. First question, why does a grown woman own Twister? Second question, how are 30-something-year-olds this flexible? Naturally, Twister leads to twisting of a different kind.

Then, the cringiest conversation of all SATC conversations took place and geez, Bon Jovi (Oh wait, Seth) is the worst! “So why are you in therapy, seriously?” Carrie asked him. To which Seth replied, “I’m really f–ked up about women. After I sleep with them, I completely lose interest. What about you? What’s your problem?” And there you have it, yet another man Carrie misjudged. Hm, maybe that’s why she was in therapy to begin with.

Bon Jovi went on to continue his music career, never to be seen in Carrie Bradshaw’s universe ever again. That said, he will forever be a memorable brief addition to the always iconic cast.
