What a confession! In a recent interview, Ivana Trump revealed she believes her ex-husband Donald Trump became president because of their daughter, Ivanka Trump. “I think Ivanka played a big part in Donald’s victory. Voters looked at her and thought, I like her. I trust her. She loves her father, so he can’t be that bad. Who knows? One day, she might be the first female — and Jewish — POTUS,” the 68-year-old told Time magazine.

Ivanka, 36, has thus far played a large role in Donald’s presidential administration. When her father got elected in November 2016, the mom-of-three — she has kids Arabella, 6, Joseph, 4, and Theodore, 1, with husband Jared Kushner — scaled back her work as executive vice president of The Trump Organization to instead serve as Senior Advisor to the President. Her spouse, Jared, also works as a senior White House advisor.

While recently promoting her new memoir, Raising Trump, Ivanka’s mother, Ivana, also spoke out about First Lady Melania Trump — and joked she’s “the real First Lady.” While speaking to Good Morning America, Ivana revealed she has a direct phone number to reach Donald at the White House, but doesn’t use it often for fear of making Melania uncomfortable.

“I [don’t] really want to call him there because Melania is there,” she said. “And I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I’m basically first Trump wife. OK? I’m first lady.” Melania later hit back at Ivana’s comments. “Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for [her son, Barron Trump], and The President. She loves living in Washington, DC and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books. There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex. Unfortunately only attention seeking and self-serving noise,” a message from the FLOTUS’ press secretary read.
