It’s been two years since the death of the late music icon David Bowie, and even though his widow Iman seems to be the image of strength and resilience in the wake of his death, she insists that she is still struggling with her grief. In a recent interview with Net-a-Porter, Iman opened up about her late husband’s death and she revealed that she plans to never get married again.

“I will never remarry,” the 63-year-old told Net-a-Porter. “I mentioned my husband the other day with someone, and they said to me, ‘You mean your late husband?’ I said, no, he is always going to be my husband.”

Iman went on to say that while she doesn’t ever plan on getting married again, she would be open to dating but it would take some time for her to get to that point. “I do feel very lonely. But do I want a relationship? I can’t say never, but no, not now,” she revealed.

The former supermodel met the English rocker at a dinner party in 1990 after they were introduced by their hairdresser, according to the Independent. They tied the knot two years later. In 2000, they welcomed their first and only child together, daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones. Iman and David were married for 24 years before David passed away in 2016 after a battle with liver cancer.

Iman said that fans will still go up to her if they see her in the street and they share their condolences for her loss, and she said that even though she seems to be dealing with her grief with grace, she insists that she isn’t as strong as most people think.

“And sometimes, I don’t want people to know how sad I am. People say to me, ‘Oh, you’re so strong,'” Iman said, rolling her eyes. “I’m not strong — I am just trying to keep it together.”
