It’s clear Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson have an incredible connection — just watch their chemistry onstage when they perform together! While the two often refer to each other as “family,” many fans can’t help but wonder if the music superstars are actually related. The simple answer to that question? Yes!

The country icon, 64, was previously married to Narvel Blackstock before calling it quits in 2015. Therefore, she became the stepmother to his three children: Chassidy, Shawna, and Brandon Blackstock. In 2013, Brandon married Kelly Clarkson, making Reba her mother-in-law!

The Stronger Than the Truth singer often gushes about her daughter-in-law, exclusively telling Closer Weekly, “She’s a great gal, big-hearted, and with Kelly what you see is what you get!” She added, “I love her to pieces. She’s been one of my best friends since I met her in 2002.”

However, in a new interview with Us Weekly, Reba does admit the two “don’t get to spend as much time nowadays as we used to,” but says they’re still “family.” They also recently performed together when Kelly brought out Reba while headling Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on March 29.

“I’ve been super, super excited about this particular ‘A Minute and a Glass of Wine’” Kelly told the audience before bringing Reba out. “Literally, I’ve been waiting for weeks to do this. I’m super excited for my guest … I asked this person because this person has been such an influence, not just musically but personally. It’s a really rare thing to meet your hero and they live up to it. We put this together because I’m a true fan so I’m making this person sing way more songs than they probably thought they would have to.”

So can fans expect any future music collabs for the duo? “We don’t have anything planned right now,” Reba explained to Us. “She’s got her boat loaded!”

Hopefully, we’ll at least get to see them spend some time together on the ACM Awards red carpet! Smile for the camera, ladies!
