Grandma Goldie Hawn Already Bought Kate Hudson’s Baby Girl a Huge Pink Elephant! (EXCLUSIVE)
On April 6, Kate Hudson was bursting with joy in a gender-reveal video that she posted on her Instagram. As pink confetti exploded from balloons, the mom of sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 6, jumped up and down over the news that she and beau Danny Fujikawa, 31, were having a daughter. "My kids, Danny, myself, and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way," she beamed.
Among the precious few who knew she was pregnant before that video was mom Goldie Hawn, who is excited to become a grandmother again. "They are super close and tell each other everything," an insider shares with Closer. "As soon as Kate found out she was pregnant, she texted her mom!"
Goldie, who perfectly balanced a personal life with her thriving career, has been a great role model for Kate, 39. "I always remember my mom saying there's only one thing in life she refused to fail at: raising her children," Kate says. "A good family is the answer to happiness," insists Goldie. "I look at our kids and grandkids and there's nothing in the world that could make me as proud as I am of all of them." (She and longtime love Kurt Russell, 67, also have two grandsons and a granddaughter thanks to Kate’s brother, Oliver Hudson, 41).
"She sees her grandchildren all the time," the insider says. "She gets in the sandbox, blows bubbles, and acts silly." In fact, hearing Kate's latest news made her go absolutely wild. "Goldie's an elephant advocate, so she's already bought the baby a huge pink elephant," the insider reveals, though the best gift of all is how she's always there for Kate. "It's all about laughter, shared secrets, long talks, heart-to-hearts about children," Goldie says.
