The battle between Glen Campbell‘s widow and three of his children from an earlier marriage over his $50 million estate rages on. Kim Campbell says the kids were cut out of his will in 2002, when eldest son Travis “hadn’t visited his dad in 20 years.” As Glen fought Alzheimer’s, Kim says, the kids “never called to ask how he was or if they could help.” (They deny this.)

The beloved country music icon sadly passed away back in August 2017, after battling the disease for over six years. Throughout his life, he was married four different times and had eight children. In 1959, he tied the knot with Billie Jean Nunley, and they welcomed a daughter and two sons — Kelli, Travis, and Kane. While his youngest daughter, Ashley Campbell (from his last marriage with Kim) and some of his older children were often by his side — especially towards the end of his life — Kelli, Travis, and Kane were allegedly never there for him.

In June 2017, just a couple of months before Glen’s death, Ashley opened up about her father’s health and his sad prognosis. “My dad is in his own world now,” she explained. “He knows I’m there and I think he recognizes me as familiar, but I don’t think he recognizes me as Ashley, his daughter. But sometimes as I sit playing and singing to him, he will close his eyes… and kind of smile.”

The “Rhinestone Cowboy” singer’s oldest daughter, Debby Campbell-Cloyd, previously shared a sweet story about her dad exclusively with Closer Weekly back in 2014. While visiting him at an assisted living facility, the two listened to Barbra Streisand together. “Dad started to two-step with me, and I began to lead because I thought he wouldn’t know what to do,” she said. “He stopped dancing and said, ‘You don’t lead – I do!’ See, my dad was totally there.”
