George H.W. Bush's Children: Read A Guide To His 6 Kids With Barbara Bush

The world continues to mourn and pay tribute to George H.W. Bush who passed away at age 94 on Nov. 30. Plenty of tributes have poured in for the former president, including ones from son George W. Bush, and from one of his grandchildren, Jenna Bush Hager. George’s passing has had such an impact that today is a national day of mourning for the 41st president. And while George’s passing has again allowed us to hear fantastic and touching stories about the former POTUS, it has also allowed the world to learn more about George and his late beloved wife Barbara Bush‘s family, more specifically their children.

From George’s oldest son, former president George W. Bush, to his youngest child, Pauline Robinson Bush, who sadly passed away at the age of three, George had an impact on every one of them, so it’s time to shed some light on each individual child just as George’s family sheds light onto the type of person he was. Recently, George wrote on Instagram, “George H.W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens.”

George W. Bush, 72

At 72 years old, George W. is George H.W.’s oldest son, and it didn’t take long for him to follow in his father’s footsteps. George W. became the 43rd president of the United States and served two terms from 2001 to 2009. He has been married to Laura Bush since 1997 and has two children, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush, the latter who, of course, was named after her grandmother Barbara Bush who passed away last year.

Jeb Bush, 65

John Ellis Bush, who is better known as Jeb, also went the political route as he was Florida’s 43rd governor from 1999 to 2007. Jeb did make an attempt in 2015 at becoming president and adding another president to the Bush family but he ultimately ended his campaign less than a year later. Jeb has been married to Columba Garnica Gallo since 1974 and they have three children.

Dorothy “Doro” Bush Koch, 59

Dorothy (known as Doro) is the only living daughter of George and Barbara and is an author and philanthropist. Named after her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Walker Bush, Doro raises money for charities and other nonprofit organizations. She is also the co-chair (along with Jeb) of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. Doro has been married twice and has four children.

Pauline “Robin” Robinson Bush

The second child of George and Barbara, Pauline, better known as Robin, was born in California but lived in Texas for most of her life. Robin tragically passed away at three years old from leukemia, just two months before her fourth birthday. Soon after her passing, the Bush family started the Bright Star Foundation in order to raise money and awareness for the disease.
