Cindy Crawford Basically Recreated Her 1991 Oscars Look at the 2018 Met Gala — See the Pics!

If Cindy Crawford‘s 2018 Met Gala look is giving you déjà vu, you’re not alone! After the 52-year-old model hit the red carpet in NYC on Monday, May 7, many people noticed that her red Versace Met Gala gown was reminiscent of Cindy’s 1991 Oscars dress.

At last evening’s star-studded event, Cindy looked beyond gorgeous in a form-fitting scarlet dress with a plunging neckline and halter straps. Interestingly, Cindy rocked a very similar outfit 27 years ago when she made her public debut with then-boyfriend Richard Gere at the 1991 Academy Awards.

Just months after Cindy hit the red carpet with Richard back in the early 90s, the star tied the knot with the actor. Sadly, their union didn’t last long — they divorced in 1995 after just four years of marriage. In a previous interview, Cindy revealed that her ex-husband Richard is “like a stranger” to her today.

“I didn’t think I was young [when we got married], though, but I was young,” she said of marrying the then 42-year-old actor at just age 26. “I was with Richard for, like, six years, but I was only married for two years.” Cindy continued, “We’re friendly [today], but I think it’s almost like he’s gone back to being, like, ‘Richard Gere’ again, like a stranger, because we don’t really see each other that much.”

Now, Cindy is happily hitched to Rande Gerber, who was her Met Gala date this year. Richard also just tied the knot for the third time with his much-younger girlfriend, Alejandra Silva.
