Catherine Zeta-Jones Is “Grooming” Teenage Daughter Carys Douglas to Enter the Acting World
There’s a new momager in Hollywood! Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is trying to guide her and husband Michael Douglas’ 15-year-old daughter, Carys Douglas, to stardom.
“Catherine is determined to turn her daughter into an A-list name in the modeling and acting worlds,” an insider recently told Life & Style in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “She’s grooming Carys for the big time.”
The Chicago star, 48, brought her daughter to New York Fashion Week in September 2017 and to a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in April. “Catherine picks out Carys’ outfits and oversees her hair and makeup,” the insider said. “She’s super hands-on. She plans to take on the official role of Carys’ manager and turn her into the next big thing in Hollywood.”
During a previous interview with E! News, Catherine gushed about her only daughter. “Yeah, well she’s pretty individual, very strong young lady and that I think is what I admire about her more than anything. She’s strong and smart, has good morals and good judgment, which for a [teenager], you never quite know what you’re gonna get,” she said.
When Carys attended NYFW with her famous mom — who is also a parent to son Dylan Douglas, 17, with husband Michael — she revealed that she’d be interested in entering the moderling world someday. “Yeah, I love fashion. This is my first show so I’ll see what happens, but I definitely see it in my future, I just don’t know about right now,” she said at the time.
