After a traumatic fall in November at her home, Carrie Underwood kept a low profile for months. But now she’s come roaring back with a video for her new song that premiered during the Super Bowl. "I am invincible, unbreakable… they knock me down, I get up again," the American Idol winner, 34, belts out in the tune, leading up to its chorus, "I am the champion!"

The fall broke her wrist and resulted in roughly 40 stitches on her face. "It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life," notes Carrie. A friend exclusively tells Closer Weekly, "She's turning a corner." An insider adds, "At first, she didn't want to look in a mirror, but she’s ready to return to the public eye." The resilient singer has eagerly raced back into the studio to wrap up her new CD. "You don't get to where Carrie has gotten to — the top of the country music game — without having a determined streak," says a pal.

Moral support came from "thousands of fan letters cheering her on," the insider notes. Her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, 37, and son Isaiah Fisher, who turns three on Feb. 27, also buoyed Carrie's spirits. "Isaiah’s good medicine, helping her not dwell on the accident," the friend says. "She talks about her stitches and he says, 'I don't care — you're still my girl, mama!'" As for Mike? "I don't know what I’d do without him," Carrie raves. The singer’s faith and commitment to fitness helped her recovery, too. "Carrie practices Japanese-style Tabata interval training," the insider explains, "and she works with light weights and does lots of pull-ups, lunges, and squats."

Those will all come in handy when Carrie tours to promote her new music, which "has a harder edge than some of her past work," the insider reveals. "Carrie's itching to get back out on the road, and it will be a big, big tour for her." Carrie, no doubt, will rise to the challenge. "I'm determined to make 2018 amazing," she promises. "I'm good to go!"
