Mom. Actress. Politician. Those could soon be the three titles Angelina Jolie will hold near and dear to her heart. In a new interview, the A-lister hinted at a future career in politics by sharing she’d run for President of the US if she felt she was “needed.”

When presenter Justin Webb asked her, “Are you moving in the direction of politics?” the 43-year-old replied, “If you asked me 20 years ago, I would’ve laughed… I always say I’ll go where I’m needed, I don’t know if I’m fit for politics… but then I’ve also joked that I don’t know if I have a skeleton left in my closet.” She told BBC’s Today Programme on Friday, Dec. 28, “I’m also able to work with governments and I’m also able to work with militaries, and so I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done.”

Angelina proceeded to open up about her work with the UN, where she serves as a Special Envoy. “I honestly will do whatever I think can really make a change and right now I am able to work with a UN agency to do a lot of work directly with people in need. I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done without a title and without it being about myself and my policies. So, for now, I’ll sit quiet,” she said.

The Mr. and Mrs. Smith actress takes her humanitarian work very seriously and, in 2014, she was presented an honorary damehood by Queen Elizabeth for her work fighting against sexual violence. In the ITV special The Queen’s Green Planet, Ang gushed about the British monarch. “What it comes down to is you say to the kids, ‘You know really, you don’t know her, you can’t understand all that it means to be a queen and all that,'” she shared. “But you try to say, ‘You know she’s just this really lovely lady who really cares about people around the world, and she really cares about the future, and she wants your grandkids and her grandkids to be able to be running around, enjoying nature and other cultures, and the importance of other cultures.'”

Angelina added, “She thinks that really matters and I agree with her.” Based on that, we think Angelina could be perfectly fit for politics!
