While Alec has a had a rocky road up until now, today he's finding time to wind down with his second wife, Hilaria Baldwin, and their three kids, Carmen, 3, Rafael, 22 months, and Leonardo, 7 months. Staying out of the spotlight wasn't always Alec's strong suit, especially amid his highly-publicized divorce from Kim Basinger in the early 2000s. "I love second chances," Alec says. "I love to see people come back from some adversity, self-inflicted or not, and untangle themselves from a difficult situation."

In the publication, Alec also opened up about his troubled relationship with his mother, Carol, after his father passed from cancer in 1983. "My relationship with my mother hit an all-time low. I attribute this to her fear and economic insecurity as a widow," he wrote, adding that he began to feel isolated from his five siblings as well. "I saw my siblings infrequently, something I look back on with a lot of regret," Alec continued.
