She first began her career with a gig as an ancillary radio host at a New York radio station, but since then, Wendy Williams has built an incredible career over the years. Not only does her impressive resume include being an accomplished writer, comedian, actor and entrepreneur, but the brunette beauty is mostly known as the host of her nationally broadcasted talk-show, The Wendy Williams Show.

According to The Cinemaholic, the 54-year-old has earned a pretty penny — $60 million worth to be exact! The outlet even reported that Wendy gets a salary of $15 million per year as the host of her show — which first premiered in 2008. It seems like money may be the last thing on her mind, though, considering a source confirmed to Closer Weekly that she is divorcing from her husband, Kevin Hunter, of nearly 22 years.

Wendy’s talent is not limited to her TV career, though. The New Jersey native is also the owner of a jewelry brand, a fashion line and a wig store — she’s even an 11-time author, with one book listed as a New York Times bestseller — wow!

Sadly enough, the announcement of Wendy and Kevin’s divorce doesn’t come as much of a surprise to dedicated viewers considering there have been rampant rumors swirling around lately about the couple. Fans only further speculated that the rumors were true after Wendy showed up to the taping of her show on Thursday with a large flower ring on her left hand rather than a diamond.

After news broke about Wendy — who filed for divorce on Wednesday, April 10, but didn’t serve her estranged husband with papers until the next day — her personal representative responded in a statement to Closer. “Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time. Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together. No additional comment will be provided at this time.”

Last month, Wendy revealed during the taping of her show that has been staying at a sober house as she continues to battle addiction. Fans of the fashion designer were convinced Kevin was dedicated to helping Wendy work through her issues until the TV host was spotted without her wedding ring on for the first time.

Still, Wendy continued to slam reports that they were having marital issues. “I want to shout out to my husband. I am still wearing my ring,” she said on an episode of The Wendy Williams Show in March. “Believe me, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 years, then … When we got married, we waited like four years before doing the baby projects and stuff. So, we know each other. He is my best friend, my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been saying, and I know what the streets have been talking about. … Don’t ask about mine until you see this gone,” she said, referring to her wedding ring. We hope everything works out for Wendy!
