The second wedding of Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein, stars of TLC’s hit reality show The Little Couple, was much different from their first six years ago — this time planned in secret entirely by Bill — but their love for each other remains as strong as ever.

“A lot has changed in our world, but there isn’t a day when I don’t say ‘I love you, Jen’ multiple times,” Bill tells Closer after their vow renewal, which was shown on last night’s season finale.

The event was more than a celebration of marriage — it was a celebration of life. In late 2013, Jennifer, 40, was diagnosed with Stage 4 choriocarcinoma, a rare form of uterine cancer.

She endured months of treatment, and good news finally arrived: She was in remission. Bill took it as a cue to start planning a renewal ceremony, to be witnessed by 50 guests and their adopted children Will, 4, and Zoey, 2.

“I thought, what a great excuse to say, ‘Thanks for being my wife,’ — and even cooler if it could be a surprise,” says Bill, 39. Mission accomplished…and then some!

“I knew we were going to the beach for my birthday, but I had no idea about the vow renewal. Apparently I need to do a better job of watching what my husband is doing when I’m not around!” marvels Jen. “It felt like a fairy tale!”

“I just wanted Jen to know how thrilled I am to have met her,” says Bill. Clearly, the feeling is mutual.

“We’re so fortunate to have each other and these adorable, beautiful kids,” says Jen. “This was a moment to look at each other and say, ‘You’re the light in my world.’”
