It’s over. Tamar Braxton has filed for divorce from husband Vincent Herbert after nearly nine years of marriage. The TV personality’s rep confirmed the split in a statement to E! News on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The duo, who have been together since 2003, share a four-year-old son named Logan.

“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert,” the statement read. “Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”

E! News reports that Tamar filed divorce papers on Tuesday and cited irreconcilable differences. According to court docs obtained by the outlet, the Grammy-nominated singer is seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of Logan, with Vincent, 44, getting visitation. She has also requested that the court denies her estranged hubby spousal support. Vincent, the founder of Streamline Records, has yet to file a response.

Prior to their breakup, the pair — who starred on their synonymous WE tv reality show, Tamar & Vince, from 2012 until 2016 — were plagued with rumors of marital issues. In August 2016, TMZ reported that the famous couple got into a domestic dispute at an Atlanta hotel, where Vincent allegedly bit Tamar’s hand. No arrests were made, and neither Tamar nor Vince commented on the reported incident.

However, one day later, they were spotted holding hands, and Tamar defended her marriage in a verbal rant to the paparazzi. “Just because somebody says something does not make it law and I’m not gonna defend my relationship to anybody. Ever. This is a marriage,” she said at the time. “This is not a baby daddy, this not my boyfriend. We don’t live together. This my husband for 13 years so everybody else, have several seats.”

Tamar and Vincent’s split comes more than a year after the Braxton Family Values star was fired from The Real. “Me and the girls got along — so I thought,” Tamar — who starred on the daytime talk show alongside Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, and Tamera Mowry-Housley — said at the time. “We’ve been on hiatus for about three weeks and so for this to come out of the blue is just astonishing, to be honest.”
