Thanks, Louis! In a new interview, Sandra Bullock revealed that her newest movie, Ocean’s 8, wouldn’t have made it to theaters if not for the help of her eight-year-old son, Louis Bullock.

“This almost didn’t happen for me because it was supposed to shoot during the summer, and then when Cate [Blanchett] wasn’t available, they said, ‘Are you willing to shift it to fall in New York?’ And I went, ‘I gotta take the kids out of school,'” the 53-year-old actress told People at the film’s NYC premiere on Tuesday, June 5.

“Then my son said, ‘Why don’t we go look at a school and see if we find something?’ We left on Mother’s Day, day after Mother’s Day, [and] found a school. It’s all about my kids. If I could never work again, I’d be okay with it because I’d get to go home and be with my babies,” Sandra continued.

We’re so thankful that Louis and his little sister, Laila Bullock, 6, were willing to move from their New Orleans home to NYC while their mom shot Ocean’s 8 because it seems like the best movie ever! In addition to Sandra and Cate, the highly ancitipated film — which hits theaters on Friday, June 8 — also stars Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Earlier this month, Sandra opened up about her family, career, and adopting her two children during a sit-down with Hoda Kotb for Today. When Hoda asked Sandra about her biggest priority, the Oscar winner replied, “It’s my kids. Everything is about them being ok, being in school, having what they need, their moments. I need to be there for every single moment that they have. It’s harder for me to leave them than I think it is for them when I leave. I don’t leave that much, and I don’t work that much anymore either… So my priorities are my kids, my kids, my kids. My family. My family. That’s it.”
