Maybe she’s born with it, maybe it’s age-defying facial cream? Either way, Sandra Bullock looks like she hasn’t aged a bit, and we need her to share her skincare routine ASAP. In fact, the Miss Congeniality star’s perfectly glowing skin has been the talk of the town so often lately, she jokingly “revealed” her anti-aging secrets.
“I’m sleeping in a container that is devoid of outside carcinogens, that helps lift what you don’t have and — come on, please!” Sandra teased to ET alongside her Bird Box co-star, Trevante Rhodes. “The only time you see me is when I do press junkets. Do you know how many hours of hair and makeup this took? Two and a half hours!”
All jokes aside, the 54-year-old admitted that her real “secret” to looking flawless is putting in a lot of time and effort. “I’m gonna work this look all day today and then I’m gonna go home and take a shower, and it’s gonna happen again at 8 o’clock in the morning,” she explained. “I’m never out in the world where I get photographed unless it’s in things like that, so I just look my best.”
Trevante dished that some of the reason why she looks ageless is because of Sandra’s obligation to staying healthy and active. “The truth is, before set every day, she would show up in her workout [gear],” the 28-year-old actor revealed. “So she works out every day. That’s what it is.”
It looks like her intense workout regime is beneficial for preventing aging and filming her new movie, Bird Box! In the post-apocalyptic thriller, Sandra plays a mother-of-two whose trying her best to survive after the world has been overrun with monsters. The film follows the three as they try to escape by running away, so you can imagine how committed to fitness Sandra would have to be to prepare for this role.
However, the actress doesn’t just play a mom-of-two in movies — she is one in real life! Sandra is the mama to her kiddos, Louis Bardo, 8, and Laila, 6. The Oceans 8 star says that there were certain situations in the movie where she was able to hone in on her own parenting experiences. “You know that you can go there,” Sandra said of the scenes where her TV children were in danger.
“I try really hard not to go there with my kids but you do that when you’re scared, [like] when your child about runs into traffic,” she confessed. “It is the fear and the beast that comes out… you become a human being you don’t like, but it’s the only thing you know how to do [to protect your kids].” Aww!
