Actor Ryan Reynolds is getting super candid about his love of fatherhood! “It’s kind of made me a better person, I think,” the Deadpool star admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, Dec. 4. “[But] I sort of miss being horrible. I love it.”

Ryan shares his two adorable daughters, James, 4, and Inez, 2, with his wife, Blake Lively. Though the 42-year-old gushed about being a father and how much he loves it, he did admit that being a dad also comes with obstacles. “It’s hard. It’s always a challenge, with two kids,” Ryan admitted. “I think of blinking now like tiny little breaks all day.”

However, Ryan said the difficulties are all worth it at the end of the day. “It’s a dream,” Ryan said of being a father of two kiddos. “They’re the best. They’re my buddies. I love it.”

With two little rugrats running around the house, Christmastime must be a blast for the Reynolds-Lively family. When asked if he decorated their humble abode, let’s just say Ryan would have spit water out of his mouth if he had some in it.

“No, I don’t at all,” the actor stated. “I would never even try to do that. If I decorated, the whole house would just be like, I don’t know, old spit or something. I have none of that sensibility, but my wife, Blake, is amazing at it.”

Although Ryan made it seem as if he doesn’t have one decorating bone in his body, The Proposal star told host Ellen DeGeneres that he would love to have a Christmas decorating contest with his neighbor, Martha Stewart. Ryan admitted that he wants to “create a competition at some point.” Sounds fun!

That is quite the challenge that Ryan is throwing down to the queen of home decor herself — but we’re not going to lie, we’d love to see that competition happen one day sooner than later!
