Reese Witherspoon Opens Up About The Challenges of Raising Three Children

Reese Witherspoon may be an actress, producer and wife — but her favorite role is being a mom!

In a new interview with ‘Today,’ the 38-year-old star opened up about the challenges that come with raising three children who are teen, tween and toddler age!

“It’s interesting,” she said of life with kids Ava, 15, Deacon, 11, and Tennessee, 2. “Two different things are happening all the time.”

But, she added, “It’s kind of great because… my older kids are just so in love with their baby brother and help out so much. It’s kind of like having this big extended family. We always talk about in our house, the more people that love you, the better your life is. So, I love it.”

Reese — who is garnering Oscar buzz for her starring role in ‘Wild,’ and production work on the hit thriller ‘Gone Girl’ — welcomed kids Ava and Deacon with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Phillippe, in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

After her marriage to Ryan ended in 2007, the ‘Legally Blonde’ actress wed talent agent Jim Toth in March 2011. Reese gave birth to the couple’s first child, Tennessee James, in September 2012.
