Royals, they’re useless just like us.

As far as we know any member of the royal family is completely perfect in every way, but apparently that is not totally accurate. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton were recently taking part in an arts and crafts session during their visit to the homeless charity The Passage in London. And while the Duke of Cambridge was trying his hand at some art and crafts, he revealed what his skill level is when it comes to this. According to Hello Magazine, the 36-year-old was asked to make a “Welcome to Christmas Dinner” sign and given an “E” to cut out. Seems simple enough. But Kate decided to laugh at her husband, which prompted William to say, “My son knows I’m useless at this, Catherine is the artsy one.”

William was of course talking about five-year-old Prince George. It is around that age that you begin to tell your dad he’s useless, right? Or perhaps George is getting an early start. Meanwhile, Kate helped make beaded bracelets, telling folks near her that her daughter, Princess “Charlotte would love making these.” Making bracelets and signs weren’t the only thing that William and Kate were busy with as they also spoke to frontline workers about challenges relating to street homeless. The pair also talked about drug addiction and mental health issues. Kate also became an official patron of the Evelina London Children’s Hospital when she visited it with William. So it’s pretty clear that the pair was quite busy.

As for George, his dad may be hopeless when it comes to arts and crafts and he may completely fail if he ever has to do a scrap book, but at least he knows that his dad will go all out to take a photo of a helicopter for him. And isn’t that was truly matters?
