How sweet! Engaged couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out before the sun even came out in the UK on Wednesday, April 25 to honor fallen Australian and New Zealand veterans on Anzac Day, which is a day that celebrates the first major battle involving Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I.

The soon-to-be husband and wife took part in the touching ceremony that included readings, national anthems, and a moment of silence. This event was especially near and dear to Harry’s heart, as he previously served in Afghanistan and Iraq years before meeting Meghan. That said, the 33-year-old laid a signed book of remembrance and a wreath on the Australian memorial.

But it wouldn’t be a royal outing if Harry and Meghan weren’t dressed to the nines. Meghan donned stylish gray calf-length trenchcoat paired with a high-neck black dress underneath and a big black wide-brimmed hat, black heels, and a Gucci clutch to go with it. She completed the look with a poppy pinned to her trenchcoat. The poppy is a symbol worn to remember those who’ve died in war. Harry, who wore all of his medals as a nod to his military service, looked dapper in a navy blue suit.

Hours later, Harry and Meghan met up with Prince William at Westminster Abbey in London for the Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving. Kate Middleton, who just gave birth to baby No. 3 on Monday, April 23, understandably, wasn’t in attendance.

William and Kate previously showed off their newborn son to the world on the steps of Lindo wing after a statement that read, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.” The baby’s name has not been released at this time — but we can’t wait to see the first photos of him with Uncle Harry and Aunt Meghan!
