Royal couple Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles are on an official tour of France and Greece this week, but that doesn’t mean they’re not thinking about a certain royal event reaching fever pitch — Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding. While visiting a flower market in Nice, France, the father of the groom and his wife stopped to share their excitement about the impending nuptials.

When asked how he was feeling about his son Harry’s marriage to Meghan, Charles reportedly said, “It’s absolutely marvelous. I’m sure it will be a very special day for everybody.” Meanwhile, Camilla shared what a treat it has been to get to know the bride-to-be in the lead up to the bigger than big day. “It’s very nice, all very exciting,” she said, adding, “We can’t wait.” According to royal correspondent Richard Palmer, the royal duo also called Meghan “a great girl.” Charles and Camilla are expected to fly home to the UK later this week, leaving plenty of time to prepare for the wedding.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, will exchange vows at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday, May 19. Meghan will be walked down the aisle by her father, Thomas Markle, while her mother, Doria Ragland, will escort her from an undisclosed location to the chapel for the ceremony. The arrangement — while beautifully including both parents — represents a break with royal tradition. Typically, the bride travels with her father before he gives her away in the wedding ceremony.

Kensington Palace recently confirmed the news. “Both of the bride’s parents will have important roles in the wedding. On the morning of the wedding, Ms. Ragland will travel with Ms. Markle by car to Windsor Castle. Mr. Markle will walk his daughter down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel. Ms. Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion,” a royal spokesperson revealed.

Thomas, a retired lighting director who lives in Mexico, and Doria, a yoga teacher and social worker, who lives in LA, will travel to the UK ahead of the wedding to meet Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton. The rendezvous will also be the first between Harry and Thomas, who have (to our knowledge) only ever spoken over the phone. We can’t wait for the wedding!
